Keeping a Kingdom Perspective - Cal Pierce

We, as believers, who live in the world will always face trouble in the world. A world that hasn't encountered God will have failure. The enemy will always work toward failure. Without God, the enemy will run unopposed. Jesus told us this in John, chapter 16, verse 33 -

"These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation but take courage, I have overcome the world."

It is not OK, as believers, to live in fear because of an election, what the future might look like, or any other trouble that lies before us. When we live in fear we fulfill the will of the enemy, when we live in faith we fulfill the will of God. Jesus said in this verse that in Him we will have peace. The word peace means prosperity or to be joined with Him. When we set our mind on the things above, not on the things on the earth, God will release His Kingdom provision to change earth. Where we set our mind will determine whether we live in victory or failure.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your heart and your minds in Christ Jesus."

This verse says to be anxious for nothing. In other words, nothing in the world should cause anxiety that distracts us from God's Kingdom purpose. We are to submit everything to God and then His peace (prosperity) will come to us. His peace will be beyond our natural ability to comprehend it. We will have a supernatural peace that brings Heaven's provision into our life.

Our prosperity or peace isn't determined by what the world has, it's determined by what God has. It will come from Heaven to earth. Let's stay focused on Heaven so we can change earth.
