On July 16, 2026, I attended the introduction to IAHR Prayer training led by Newberg directors. During the session, the leaders asked for a volunteer to receive a demonstration of praying in groups of 3. My friend and I both raised our hands, but I deferred to her. As they began to pray for her, I was amazed by how closely her circumstances mirrored my own. At the time, I was experiencing tight, hot pain on the right side of my neck down to my mid-back. During the prayer, the leader asked if there was a holding on of an injustice, and if she was willing to release it to the Father - recalling Jesus' words "Forgive them for they know not what they do." And, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed."
In that moment, sitting in the audience, as I forgave, all the heat and tension vanished from my neck and shoulders! Furthermore, I had recently gained eight pounds, and by the next day, four pounds were gone. My body was literally weighing itself down with unforgiveness. When I surrendered the need to make things right and trusted God's justice, He healed both my pain and my heavy burden. Bless the Lord! who forgives all your sins, and heals all your diseases! Psalm 103:2-3
