Breaking News! - Carol Krum
John 3:16 has been brought before me recently on multiple occasions, either through something I was reading as a devotional, a teaching at church, a sign on a reader board, a plaque, etc.
“For God so loved the world
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him
shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
I have learned that when this happens, it is time to sit up and take notice, even though it is a verse that has been memorized and quoted for years. I had to allow my spirit to marinate in that word for a while in order to hear what the Lord was really saying to me. This is the truth that was birthed!
“God so loved…that He gave...”
May 19, 1979 was a “Kairos” moment in my life, that supreme moment on my timeline when I entered a room as one woman and exited as another. It was the day of my baptism in the Holy Spirit. My friend and I had gone to an Aglow meeting, not knowing fully what to expect, only that we wanted whatever it was our friend had. At the end of the meeting anyone who wanted to receive this baptism was invited to come up front. We both bolted out of our chairs and stood front and center! During that prayer, my friend was filled with unspeakable peace that transcended any moment of prayer she had ever experienced. I, on the other hand, was filled with a love beyond my knowing. This was a love that no man could ever give. It was divine love.
This love was so pure, so holy, that I cried for three weeks. I had NEVER known such love as this. In time it evoked a deep desire to shower my God with all the love I had in any way I could. One of the ways I found was to give an offering whenever and wherever I was asked. I couldn’t give enough! Love always generates a desire to give.
“God so loved…that He gave…”
This is what the Lord was bringing to my remembrance during these recent reflective moments of John 3:16…Do not forget your FIRST love! Oh, such sweet love! No, I must never forget all that He did for me, how “He delivered me from the power of darkness and transferred me into the Kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom I have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.” Col. 1:13-14
May we so love...that we give
We know that Healing Rooms Ministries was founded and functions under an Apostolic authority that has been birthed and breathed upon by God Himself for this present moment and time in history. That being said, there are blessings that are associated with that kind of covering.
Matthew 10:41 says, “He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward.” Biblically speaking, when “receiving” someone, it means to come alongside in agreement, to catch the same vision and to help, to minister, to sow into their need. We receive the reward that flows from the anointing that is upon that righteous one.
I would like to share a personal experience I had a few years back, where this was fulfilled in my own life, though I didn’t understand the principle that supported the action. Sometimes we have the experience before we have the knowledge. My son had struggled with alcoholism for years, using it as a means to cover and numb his pain. But by the magnificent grace of God, he was delivered and set free from that stronghold. A few months later, his son was killed in a motocross accident. No one knew for sure how he would handle this kind of pain. It was then that I heard a wonderful teaching on sowing Firstfruits into an Apostolic ministry in the name of a particular need.
Firstfruits is what we do before our harvest as a faith gift to the Lord, tithing is what we do after our harvest to honor and thank the Lord for His goodness and provision into our lives. So as a Firstfruits offering in the name of my son, I asked Holy Spirit what I was to give. It was a huge amount for me, but I absolutely knew that I had to do it and do it fast, before I had a chance to talk myself out of it! Two years later, my son had a divine encounter with the living God which transformed him into a man after God’s own heart. He has fallen in love with the Lord, reads the Word daily, leads his family as the spiritual head of the household and is in a weekly bible study with his wife. Talk about “REWARD”!
If you haven’t been sowing into the Healing Rooms Ministries, now is a perfect time to seek the Lord on what He would have you give as a Firstfruits offering. You know the need you carry in your heart, be it for a loved one, health, finances, increase in faith, revelation. Ask the Holy Spirit to speak to you about how much you are to give and He will tell you!
If you are a present member in the Partner program, Praise God! We certainly don’t want you to miss out on what is happening in this season, so you may want to ask the Holy Spirit if it’s time to increase the amount you are giving. Oh, the joy of giving!! If He says, “Yes, it’s time”, then celebrate with great joy for the precious opportunity He is extending to you!
To those who have little, Praise God! Your giving may hurt! What a sweet fragrance to God that will be and how rich will be your reward. Remember the story of the widow’s mite? Mark 12:42 says, “Then one poor widow came and threw (italics mine) in two mites, which make a quadrans.” I love this woman! She knew she had to THROW them in fast, for the same reason I had to move fast! The enemy will try to convince you of how illogical it is to give so much when you have so little!
BUT GOD! BUT GOD! BUT GOD!!!
Yes, But God, indeed! Here is a key to breakthrough for which many have been believing, praying, fasting and hoping! I told you it was Breaking News, and it’s breaking the strongholds which have been preventing so many from receiving the fullness of what God is waiting to release. I don’t know about you, but I am excited to step into this truth with great joy. I can’t wait to hear all the testimonies that come forth from this act of faith that is about to be taken by so many of you. Heaven is rejoicing right now on your behalf!!
