The Year of Fulfillment
As we move into this new year, we need to listen to the Holy Spirit more than ever. The enemy is doing everything he can to distract us from our assignment. Make no mistake about it, the things that are going on in the world that don't look good are happening, not just to cause trauma in the world, but to distract the Body of Christ from moving in the fullness of authority. The enemy doesn't want us to succeed. He knows this is not a war in the natural, but a war of kingdoms.
This is not a war between God and the devil. God is not worried about the devil. The devil is a non-issue to God. God, who is light, has no darkness. When God shows up, darkness is no longer there. Light always overcomes darkness. We are the light of the world. The enemy is warring against the believer. He brings all kinds of problems so that we will set our minds on the earth. When we do this our focus is on what the enemy is doing rather than what God is doing. Colossians 3:2 says,
When we set our mind on the earth, we focus on problems and begin to lose our strength to bring the Kingdom. Actually, when there are problems, it's an indication the Kingdom needs to come.
We are in the season of fulfillment. The enemy is doing all he can do to stop it. What God has promised is now moving to completion. In Luke 21:22 Jesus says,
The word fulfilled here means replete or to bring to completion. This is talking about the completion of the will of God in our lives. The word vengeance means to carry out justice or to bring to completion. If we stay the course and set our minds on things above, where our help comes from, we will see justice carried out. We will see the fulfillment of the word of God in our lives. Do not be distracted, hold fast to that which is good and your deliverance will come.
