About Healing Rooms (5)

1.) Are you the John G. Lake Ministries?

No. We are Healing Rooms Ministries.

2.) Do you have or pursue the mantle of John G. Lake?

No. I pursue the mantle of the Holy Spirit.

3.) Do you teach the teachings of John G. Lake?

No. I teach the teachings of Jesus as led by the Holy Spirit.

I have studied the lives and writings of many past healing evangelists. God worked powerfully through them for a time and season. Our job is not to try to bring them forward, but to learn about the revelation they brought and then create a floor on their ceiling and go higher. Our goal must be to pursue more of God, what our eye has not seen and ear has not heard, and which have not entered the heart of God's people. (I Corinthians 2:9)

4.) When you were in the Rookery Building, was that the same building John G. Lake had healing rooms in?

No. When we first moved into the building in 1999 we believed it was the same building. We indicated that on our web site. We weren't there but a number of months when I sent one of our team members to the Spokane Library to research some things about Lake's ministry. When the team member returned, she said that she discovered that the building Lake was in had a fire in it in 1933 and was replaced in 1934 with the building we were in. Upon this discovery we changed our web site to indicate that we had the same address and location as Lake's healing rooms, rather than the same building. We also procured pictures of the first and second buildings and put them on the wall of our offices.

5.) Why did you go to the gravesite of John G. Lake to pray in the beginning?

Before God sent me and Michelle to Spokane I had read about the life of John G. Lake and the powerful work done in the healing rooms. I went to the gravesite to make a connection to the vision and historical work that took place in Spokane with healing rooms. The Lord made it very clear to me, while visiting the gravesite, that this new move of healing rooms wasn't going to be about the past or John G. Lake. It was going to be about the Holy Spirit and what He was going to do now and in the future.

I discovered that God can meet you anywhere He desires to, even in a graveyard. The key is that we humble ourselves before Him and desire to do His will, not focusing on the past, but on the future. We can always tell whether or not something is of God by the fruit it produces. (Matthew 7:16) The important thing isn't whether or not I visited the gravesite of Lake in the beginning, but the activation of Healing Rooms and the transformed lives being seen all over the world.

Bookstore (6)

1.) How do I create a bookstore account?

2.) What if I forgot my password?

Below the box where you would enter your password is a link: "Forgot your password?"

Clicking this link will bring you to the "Password Reset" page.

In the box provided, type your email address and click on the "Submit Email Address" button.

An email will be immediately sent to that address, assuming it is either an address you used to create your account with or you later added it to your list of email addresses using the "My Account -> Email Address" page.

In the email is a randomly generated password, such as "HillariousTortoise438". Use this new password to log in to the website. On the first page that displays, you will be given the opportunity to change the password to one of your choice. Enter the password twice using the respective text boxes.

If you accidentally navigate away from this Change Password page, you can return to it by way of "My Account -> Change Password."

3.) How do I change my email address or add a second address?

Since many of us have multiple email addresses these days, or at least change addresses when changing Internet Service Providers (ISPs), there is often a need to update your email addresses on all of the sites where you used the old address to log in.

Or perhaps a husband and wife each have their own email address, but both want to share the same bookstore account. In either case, our site does enable you to have all of your email addresses affiliated with your account.

To add an address, go to "My Account" and then "Email Address(es)".

In the box at the top of the page, type your new email address, and click the "Add Email" button.

Scroll down to the "Primary Email Address" section of the page, and use the drop-down menu to choose which email address you want to have your receipts sent to. Click the "Select Primary Email" button.

Now, if you want to remove the previous email address, you can do so using the "Verify or Remove Email Addresses" form in the center of this page. Click the "Remove" button next to the respective addresses. Note that you cannot remove the address which is currently your primary email address (which has a * to the right of it in place of the Remove button).

Since you added an email address, check that email inbox for the confirmation email. There is a web link in that email that you should click on. Your clicking the link will mark that email address on this "Email Address(es)" page as having been verified.

4.) What is the bookstore's return policy?

The bookstore return policy is linked from the bottom of each page of the bookstore.

This is what the link looks like: "Click Here To View Our Return Policy"

Go ahead and [Click Here] if you would like to read it.

5.) My credit card was declined, and I'm sure that I entered the correct credit card number and security code.

If you typed the correct credit card number, expiration date and security code, then there is one more option that is commonly overlooked (i.e., you're not the first one).

Look at the address displayed near the top of the checkout page, and make sure that the street address is the address your credit card statement is sent to.

It is rumored that the numbers in the street address line, along with the numbers in the postal code, are the most significant parts of the address which need to be correct.

The name you have in the billing information is also important to have exactly as it displays on your card.   For example, "John and Suzie Doe" might show in the billing area as what the customer entered, but "Susan Z Doe" might be what is printed on the card.

Abbreviations like "St." and "Apt." in your address are not as important.

When you correct the address at the top of the checkout page, it will not change the address we have on file, as you might be using a different billing name and address than you normally use.  In order to make a long-term change to your account, go to Bookstore -> My Account -> Shipping & Billing Information, and make the appropriate corrections.

6.) Can I just do a telephone order and mail a check?

No.

Most banks these days produce debit cards to act in place of a check book, as any bank would realize the importance of being compatable with electronic commerce, such as this website uses.

Our website uses 128 bit SSL encryption, which goes into effect even before you type in your email address to sign in to the website.  SSL is in effect anytime you see "https://" at the start of your address bar.  You can view information on our SSL certificate by moving your mouse over the "Comodo - Authentic & Secure" icon at the lower-right corner of this web page.

According to Erik Kangas, PhD, President of Lux Scientiae, "Older '40bit' keys can be broken by trial and error if one has access to vast computer resources and a good amount of time. These days, keys used in SSL are 128bit or better. There are so many possible keys with 128bit that it would take significantly longer than the age of the universe to 'guess' one.[highlight added]

In order to learn about how SSL works to protect your credit card data, you might read various articles:
(1) Article by Erik Kangas: http://luxsci.com/info/about_ssl.html
(2) From Wikipedia: http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transport_Layer_Security
(3) Search online for "How does SSL work?"

Checks are still accepted at our bookstore at 112 E. 1st Avenue in Spokane, Washington, so if you would like to visit and purchase some of the material we have displayed in the bookstore, checks are an option.

Events (2)

1.) I'm not seeing the video player window for the live webcast of a guest minister.

If there is no play button or no video player window, make sure that the latest version of Adobe Flash Player is installed on your web browser.

You can re-download and install that at http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

2.) The webcast I'm watching is breaking up. It plays for a few seconds, and then pauses.

We're streaming at about 800 Kbps.  If you have a lower speed internet connection, there may be a problem with experiencing interruptions.

You can test your internet connection speed by pausing the video (and any other downloads) and going to www.speedtest.net, which will test your download speed.

Local Healing Rooms (3)

1.) How do I find a Healing Room close to me?

If you are on the "International Headquarters" section of the website, you should see a left menu with blue buttons.  One of them is "Find a Healing Room Near You."  Another button is "International Association" which includes "Our Locations."

Based on your computer's IP address, the website may guess what city you are currently in.  If it does, a few Healing Rooms will be displayed, along with their approximate distance in miles from your own city center to their city center.  Keep in mind that it is a straight line, "as the bird flies," and does not include the turn-by-turn driving distance.

Another method is to type in your city name and click "Submit."  Be sure not to include your state in that search box.  This can be helpful if you are recommending a Healing Room for someone who lives in another city, or if the city determined by your computer's IP address was incorrect.  A list of cities across the globe that include the text you typed will appear, and then you can click on the appropriate city.  Based on that central location, a list of surrounding Healing Rooms will display.  You might examine multiple Healing Rooms nearby to see what hours they are open, and view their actual street address (as the city search only measures the distance between one city center and another city center, rather than street address).  Additional information about that Healing Room may be available by clicking on their sub-menu, which is in the left-hand column of their web page.  After viewing a Healing Room's website by clicking on any part of their name or location, you can return to the list of nearby Healing Rooms by clicking the back (<-) arrow button in your web browser.

An alternate method is to go to a regional or national home page by clicking on either the USA map or the global map.  If you want to view a national home page, click the name of that nation.  If you want to view a regional home page within the USA, click on that region. Regions are separated by background color.  The regional contacts are displayed on the regional web page, and in the right-hand column of the regional web page are all of the local Healing Rooms within that region.  Click on the name of a city to be brought to that local Healing Room's web page.

A final method for finding a nearby Healing Room is to view the global map.  Select either the small map, the medium map, or the large map.  Depending on how large the map is, and how fast your Internet connection is, you may need to wait for the page to load.  You may click anywhere on the map, even where there is not a Healing Room icon displayed.  You will then be given a list of some Healing Rooms near that center-point, as well as their approximate distance "as the bird flies."  From that list of Healing Rooms, you can view their individual web pages, as explained in the previous options.

2.) Is there a map I can view showing all the Healing Rooms in the world?

Yes, and that map can be viewed by using the menu item "Information" -> "Locations" and then scrolling down to option #3, "Click on your area."

Click on the link for either the Small Map, Medium Map, or Large Map.  The largest map also shows the names for each city.  Click on any area of the map, whether it has a city name or not, and a results page will display the distance of Healing Rooms surrounding the point you selected.

If you click on a Healing Room's name, you will be brought to their home page, which should include their address or a way you can contact them.

3.) How do I view news about IAHR and what is going on with Healing Rooms around the world?

To view newsletters in Adobe Acrobat (PDF) format, visit this link, or select from the menu "IAHR" -> "IAHR Newsletters."
