The Faith That Creates

Cal Pierce, Director of the Healing Rooms

We have a creative God who gives us a creative word. The Word of God comes to us with fulfillment in it. It is the will of God for us to receive. In the parable of the sower, Jesus said,"The seed is the word of God." When you plant it in good soil and water it; it will bear fruit with perseverance. In this parable, it is our responsibility to plant the seed and water it with perseverance.

Too often we are asking God to do something for us and nothing happens. Then we begin to doubt or question God on why He doesn't fulfill His word. Our question might be, "God why haven't you healed me?" We have a tendency to believe that God is going to fulfill His own will by deciding to heal us or not. It is always God's will to fulfill His will, that's why it is called His will. The seed comes with fulfillment already in it. The Word is alive and will produce a harvest if we will plant it by faith and water it with it with our belief system.

Hebrews 4:12, "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joint and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart."

This is why the Word is creative; it's alive and has the ability to judge what we think. It knows what's in your heart. It knows if we doubt what God has promised. It knows if we are trusting God and walking by faith. The Word of God has the DNA of the promise in it waiting to be released when we plant it in good ground and water it by a belief of expectation. The will of God isn't subject to the world or our circumstances; it's subject to our faith. We don't have to wait for God to decide to give it to us, He already has given it. In 2 Peter 1:3 we are told to see that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him. The word isn't creative in the book; it's creative in the believer.

When I speak at conferences, I make this statement which is good for getting people's attention, "God is not a believer." In other words, God didn't write the book, so that He could have something to believe. God is a creator. When we read His book and believe, He creates. When the Word of God is allowed to produce faith in us, then the Holy Spirit makes the will of God living and active for the fulfillment on earth. When we walk by faith we become creative by partnering with the Holy Spirit who releases the power of God that His will would be fulfilled in our life.
