Heart Month

Arty Bartlett What triggers your heart memories this month?  What gets your heart pumping?  Triathlons you say?
27 year ago on Valentine’s Day there was 4 feet of snow on the ground and the sun was shining.  It was a glorious day and my son was born.  Yep, a Valentine baby and an awesome one at that!  It is that same Valentine boy who started doing Triathlons a few years back which started my husband and I doing them which triggered some of our friends and now co-workers to do them (or to get active doing something else!) including our very own Sister Mary Maribeth Benson who will be doing her very first Sprint distance this summer!  In case you don’t know her, PLEASE visit our Healing Rooms Facebook page and watch the video of “The Sister Act”.  Laughter is good for the soul, your digestion, your immune system, and well, just about everything, but back to Triathlons.

This is the year YOU can get your heart pumping!  Here’s the break-down of distances below.  I started with the Sprints and am now doing Sprints and Olympic distances.

Triathlon Distances

To accomodate all different skill levels, there are several different distances for triathlon races. Sprint distances vary from race to race, but the other distances are consistent with the lengths shown in the table below. The Half and Full distances are commonly referred to as Half Ironman and Ironman distances respectively. Half Ironman races can also be referred to as Ironman 70.3's, with the number 70.3 representing the total mileage of the race.

Name Swim Bike Run
Sprint 0.5mi (750m) 12.4mi (20km) 3.1mi (5km)
Olympic 0.93mi (1.5km) 24.8mi (40km) 6.2mi (10km)
ITU Long 1.86mi (3km) 49.6mi (80km) 12.4mi (20km)
Half 1.2mi (1.9km) 56mi (90km) 13.1mi (21.09km)
Full 2.4mi (3.8km) 112mi (180km) 26.2mi (42.195km)

Now search online for Triathlons close to your area and get plugged in to a workout routine which you can also find online.  They even have one called, “From the Couch to a Sprint-Tri in 90 Days”. (You should be smiling about  now)

I expect to hear from those who are taking me up on this.  I will be one of your best cheerleaders.  For those who are boosting your immune system and laughing at the thought of you doing this….here are some heart pumping books instead ~ enjoy!
To your health in mind, body, and spirit!

Blood: Entrance into the Supernatural by Rona Spiropoulos Blood: Entrance into the Supernatural by Rona Spiropoulos B-056-12x

Personal Favorite of Arty!

The Blood is a two-part book with prophtetic meditations and a Bible study. It is the most powerful book on the precious Blood of Jesus I have ever read; never have I had the revelations given to Rona when she had an encounter with the powerful Blood of Jesus in a supernatural visitation. Gwen Shaw Rona Spiropoulos is on staff with the End-Time Handmaidens ministry with Gwen Shaw. She also travels many places, ministering God's Word and moving in the realm of the prophetic.
