The Creative Power of Faith - Cal Pierce

Every believer who receives the Word of God and hears it will have faith.  In Romans 10, verse 17 it says, so faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the Word of Christ.  Faith becomes the vehicle to bring the will of God to fulfillment.  Our faith assigns the Holy Spirit to the Word of God and makes it creative.

In Colossians 1:12 it says our heavenly Father has an inheritance for His saints.  His Word is His will to us for that inheritance.  We receive our inheritance by faith.  When our faith rests on the power of God, the Holy Spirit in us, then His will is transferred.

I Corinthians 2:4-5  “And my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.”

God not only gives us His will, but His will produces faith, then that faith becomes creative by the power of the Holy Spirit.  This is how we receive the promise.

Galatians 3:14  “In order that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the gentiles, so that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”

God wants us to receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.  The whole purpose of God giving His will to us is that we would have it.  It’s always God’s will to fulfill His will that’s why it is His will.  Some people are not sure about whether God will fulfill His will or not.  His will comes with fulfillment in it.  It is what we do, not God, that releases that fulfillment.  Faith requires actions on our part and the power of the Holy Spirit, to transfer His will.  When we believe we have what God desires for us, then faith becomes active.

Mark 11:24  “Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted to you.”

The granting of the will comes when we believe that we have received at the time we pray and ask.  We can believe that we have received because God is a rewarder of those who seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).   This is why faith without works is dead.  His will can’t be fulfilled without us acting on our faith.

God uses faith to teach us to walk by the Spirit and not by sight.  God wants us to depend on Him and live as a spirit man who lives by the Spirit.  Jesus gave us a mandate in Matthew 6:10.

Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.

This mandate is to do His will on earth as it is in heaven.  His kingdom (inheritance) can’t come if His will isn’t done by you and I.  Our faith is the vehicle that moves His will on earth as it is in heaven.
