This is truly the year of the Open Doors. It is amazing to see God providing opportunities for us. He tells us in Revelation 3:8, “I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power and have kept My word and have not denied My name.

The word door in this scripture refers to a portal of access for divine opportunity of favor to receive from God’s Kingdom. This opportunity comes when we stay true to the call of God on our life.

In the world we have tribulation that can cause us to lose sight of the vision God gives us. When this happens, we don’t keep His word, we lose faith and with that the doors of opportunity close and favor is lost. No one can close the open door but us, when we give up on God because we lose the vision He first gave us.

When our faith triumphs over tribulation, we keep the door open that no man can shut. Prevailing faith will draw through the open door of the Kingdom the answer to every problem that we experience. We see this in Romans 5:1-2, “Therefore having been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Our access through the open door comes by faithfulness to the call of God on our life. I see too many believers who give up on the call because nothing seems to be working in their life. They don’t have the revelation of what it means to have access to the things of God. We can’t expect access to automatically supply our needs. We have access to the grocery store but that doesn’t provide food until we go in and get it. We have an open door of access to the Kingdom of God but we must enter in and acquire those things as we walk by faith.

Our faith assigns the Holy Spirit to the fulfillment of the will of God for us. If we are not walking by faith that comes by truth then we are walking by the world’s order of things and will experience failure. The access that God gives us is for the purpose of acquiring the provision of His will. In that we can establish His kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
