from Sleaford, England -

We've launched a new Healing Room in a Costa Coffee, which is comparable to Starbucks.

The model for a marketplace Healing Room is much different than your "in house" Healing Room. For one there's the lack of privacy and it's not as intimate,  but we've found that lots of people are comfortable with sitting at a table just chatting (praying) over a cup of coffee.  It's much less intimidating than walking into a church or a building dedicated solely for prayer. A lot of people won't cross the threshold of a church so this gives them an alternative.

Yesterday a woman who was visiting from Armenia stopped by our table and wanted prayer for a sore shoulder.  After prayer she was able to lift her arm over her head with a full range of motion.  She was delighted as she hadn't been able to do this for over six weeks!

We love being in the town centre where the people are and we're thrilled that the Costa Coffee chain is owned by a Christian so wants his stores reaching out to the community.  We're excited to see what God is going to be up to next!

God bless you!   Chris and Linda Bennett

from Spokane, Washington -

I work night shift on the south hill and I used to drive through the Healing Rooms parking lot to or from my way to work. The Lord would actually start speaking to me before I got there.

For the past 3 days, I have been suffering with sciatic nerve pain. Yesterday, after work, I told the Lord, I was going to see Him at the Healing Rooms. I told Him I was desperate for relief because the pain had gotten so bad in my hip that I could barely walk. The Lord replied, "I will love you if you go."

I drove there and parked at the end of the parking lot and just prayed and sat in my car. I even waved at Cal when he arrived at 7:30 a.m.

To make a long story short, I have had no pain in my hip or body at all. I told my husband I was so happy that I felt that I could run. I spent most of the day running errands and shopping. Otherwise, I would have been on the sofa and missing work.

Thank God for Healing Rooms!
