The Gospel of the Kingdom - Cal Pierce
In the beginning, God's plan for mankind was to create man in His image and likeness and give man dominion over the earth.
"...we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will..." Ephesians 1:11
He says He works all things after the counsel of His will. The counsel of His will is an unchangeable plan. God's plan in the beginning has not changed. Jesus came to redeem us and give us authority to bring the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in Heaven. (Matthew 6:10)
The government that was on Jesus' shoulders is now on our shoulders, as His is now our head and we are His body. When Jesus was raised and seated at the right hand of the Father, He then fulfilled God's original plan to restore Kingdom authority back to us.
"And I confer on you a Kingdom, just as My Father conferred one on Me." Luke 22:29
We are to establish and extend the Kingdom of God on earth.
The Gospel of Salvation redeems us and gets us to the door of the Kingdom. Just getting saved doesn't establish the Kingdom. We must go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation and signs will accompany us to heal and deliver the lost. In I Corinthians 4:20 we are told the Kingdom of God consists, not in words, but in power. It is in us as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. (Romans 14:17) It is the power of the Holy Spirit in us that releases the Kingdom government on earth.
So many of God's people have only received a salvation message and, therefore, have not received Holy Spirit who gives them authority over all the power of the enemy. We are to save the lost and disciple them into the message Jesus brought about the Kingdom of God that is in us. Without Kingdom authority, we will have failure in our lives and we will live in a rapture mentality. When we have the revelation of the Kingdom, we will have a harvest theology. We are not the losers, we are winners!
