Don't Be Discouraged - Cal Pierce

There is a lot going on in the world today. Everything is being shaken. There is a line being drawn between those who want God in America and those who seem to want to remove God from America. It's so easy to be distracted from God's plan for our country when we see what's happening. Too many believers are getting discouraged by all of this. We must stay focused on what God says to us in the last days.

The enemy wants us to be discouraged in order to keep us from God's plan. In Ephesians 6:12, we are told where the battle lies:
"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of the darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Our battle is not with people, but with demonic forces of darkness. In verse 13, it goes on to say,
"Therefore take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the day of evil, and having done everything, to stand firm."

It's time to put on the full armor of God. Notice, it's time to put on God's armor, not our armor. God's armor gives us the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, who gives us power over all the power of the enemy. (Luke 10:18)  With God's armor, no weapon formed against you will prosper. (Isaiah 54:17)

God has a plan, His Word, and nothing man does, or the enemy, can change that plan. Jesus told us that,
"This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come." (Matthew 24:14)

We must focus on the Kingdom of God, not on the world. We are to bring the Kingdom of God to the world. Don't allow the enemy to discourage you. Have you ever looked up the meaning of "dis" in your dictionary? It means, "ruler of the underworld." The enemy wants to steal your encouragement that comes from God and "dis" it, so you will have dis-couragement and not bring the Kingdom into the world. Let's keep our eyes on Jesus and prepare for what God is getting ready to do as His Glory covers the whole earth. Remember, we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loves us. (Rom. 8:37)
