Resetting the Plumb Line - Carol Krum
Well, here we are folks! Is this the new season we have been hearing about from the prophets who’ve been telling us to get ready, because we were about to enter a new season and a new era that would usher in a harvest such as the world has never seen? I believe it is true…
We know who authorized COVID 19, and the intention behind it. As we listen to the news reports from around the world, it would be easy to believe that the enemy is winning. But we, as believers, must keep our eyes fixed on truth, Jesus, and our hearts open to what He is saying to us.
The “Stay at Home” mandate has been issued in many states, my own included, which has forced most of us into isolation. Looking past the world view of what that means, let’s look at what it means in the eyes of the Spirit.
The Bride of Christ has been awakened from her slumber and is being beckoned into the chamber of intimacy with her Bridegroom to sit in His holy Presence, listening to what is on His heart for each one of us individually, as well as the church at large. What we receive from Him in this place will be necessary to navigate through this new era we are entering. This divine shaking that is occurring is about to reveal hidden things in our hearts that even we don’t see that do not align with the truth. God is resetting His divine plumb line, the Word of God, within the heart of His beloved Bride.
“Beloved friends, what should be our proper response to God’s marvelous mercies? I encourage you to surrender yourselves to God to be his sacred, living sacrifices. And live in holiness, experiencing all that delights his heart. For this becomes your genuine expression of worship.
Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God’s will as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in His eyes.” Romans 12: 1-2 TPT
When we offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to God, it means laying our lives down on His altar and asking Holy Spirit to highlight things that are not plumbed with the Word of God, then allowing His Holy fire to burn off anything that is offensive, any wicked or unclean thing, as David called it in Psalm 139:24. What is it going to take to get us there? Humility! Pride and self-righteousness will always be a hindrance in our yielding to Christ, so of course, humility is a requirement on our part to get on that altar and to stay there until the work is completed. Use duct tape if necessary, but stay there!
The church is being shaken so that every contaminated thing that has taken up residency will be loosened and released. What has been broken will be brought back into divine alignment, what has been crooked will be exposed. The Bride is being sanctified for Christ so that she can go out into the world in POWER to bring in the harvest that has been promised.
The enemy of God has overplayed his hand in this hour, for what he has intended to use for death and destruction, God is using to woo His lost, frightened ones in the world back to Himself. The church must be ready to receive them with open arms of love, speaking words of life that come from the plumb line of all truth, the Word of God.
Our world, as we have known it, will most likely never be the same. The new may be challenging and uncomfortable, but God is faithful. Nothing that is happening has caught Him off guard. What He has planned for us is beyond anything we can possibly hope for or imagine. All He is asking of us is to trust Him in and through the process, while yielding ourselves to Him to do in us what He needs to do so that He can do through us what He wants to do in this new era. We have been created for such a time as this.
We must keep praising Him, keep worshiping Him, keep speaking His Word of Truth, and keep stirring up our holy faith. Then watch what He does right in the middle of the storm.
A divine appointment has been written on our private calendar to sit in this isolated, quiet holy place with our King, Jesus, our head resting on His heart listening to His very heartbeat, and hearing His whispers of love and sanctification being poured into our being. Then we, His Bride, will also be able to say that we will never be the same. All to the Glory of God!
