Second Wind - Linda Keough
Once a month John and I do Glory Night at the Healing Rooms conference center. This last Glory Night (2/22/2019) during worship, I heard the Lord say,
"Second Wind" I thought, Second Wind? Then the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance the time I experienced what people called the “Second Wind”. It only happened once in my life and it was amazing.
Years ago when I was in 9th grade and my younger sister was in 7th grade, we all had to run what we call 600 yards, which is about a half a mile. She ran so fast that she broke every school record. I thought, “What? That's my baby sister I have to run as fast as her!!” I think she ran 600 yards in 1 minute and 42 seconds. Believe it or not, every time I ran, I tried to break that record. It took me 3 years but I finally made it. I was a senior in high school before I could run that fast. I was half way through the distance when I thought I was going to die! I was so tired! Then all of a sudden, I experienced something I have never experienced before. I had this amazing burst of energy. I felt like I had just started and I could run forever. Guess what! I finally made it - 600 yards in 1 minute and 42 seconds!
The breath of God… Remember when God spoke to Ezekiel in 37:1-14? In verse 9, He told Ezekiel to prophesy to the breath, so he did. And breath entered them and they came alive. The Breath of God brings life, the breath of God propels us, the breath of God makes a way where there seems to be no way.
The Word tells us to run the race to win the race and to not grow weary in well doing. Many have grown weary, many have been in a place of hope deferred. But, God!
Suddenly - I call forth the suddenlies of God.
He said a Second Wind is coming. He is going to blow His breath, His Wind, on us and cause us to be renewed. It will cause us to be as we were in the beginning. He will become our love and we will be full of zeal for Him. It will cause us to run and not grow weary, to walk and not faint, we will mount up with wings like eagles.
We will out run the horses!
The zeal of the Lord will consume us and the Joy of the Lord will be our strength. Glory to God! That excites me! I need it, I want it!
I bless you with a Second Wind of the Holy Spirit.
May His Breath blow afresh upon you and quicken you and cause new life to enter you. May you feel brand new, full of fire 🔥 and power with a new love for Him, His people and for the things of the Kingdom.
May His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
For Yours is the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever.
